A fascinating place
Wilmot's End
Monuments and memorials from a dozen realms around the Unterzee tower forlornly around you. Spies and lovers stalk the soft grey shadows of stolen ruins.
Gaining passage (a Route Quality) to Wilmot's End is obtained through an Opportunity Card, described below, that appears when your Shadowy Quality is high enough and you are involved in The Great Game. (Wilmot's End is most interesting for those who have Shadowy 110+.)
The storylets available to you change depending on the choices you make and the paths you follow in Wilmot's End. Two Qualities show your progress in this place: the Walking the Paths of Wilmot's End Story Quality shows what path you are take through Wilmot's End and progress on that path is measured with the Doing Business in Wilmot's End Progress Quality. Other Qualities appear from time to time.
Gaining passage to Wilmot's End
The following Opportunity Card will appear when you meet the requirements that could grant you passage to Wilmot's End.

Yes, you know that one. She's up to her neck in the Great Game.

She's watching out for a tail. That won't stop you, of course.

Into Wilmot's End
Your blonde quarry heads out towards Tyrant's Gardens. Hardly surprising; the place is full of spies and informers.
But what's this? She parts some bushes and heads into an abandoned section of the gardens. It's less abandoned than you thought. This is Wilmot's End! Whispered about in the stories of the Great Game. It's where the serious business of London's spycraft happens, if the stories are to be believed.
Wilmot's End is a fascinating place. It's studded with monuments and statuary from outside London. Gifts from foreign powers, for the most part. Here is a bulb-tipped brass minaret from the Iron Republic. There is a rainbow glass statue of a horseman from the Presbyterate.

Playing the Game at Wilmot's End
Wilmot's End. To business. A small man in a large overcoat smokes a cigar against a jade boulder. He would know your allegiance.
Empress and Country
Loyalty and devotion. Perhaps a deep-rooted belief. Perhaps only a habit, now.
Meeting your contact
The little man stubs out his cigar on the jade and nods. 'I thought as much.' Smoke drifts away in silence.
'Don't kill anyone here,' he says. 'It's disrespectful.' He takes a manila envelope from his coat and hands it to you. 'And ignore the gentlemen in the hedges. Their game is not the Game.'
