You slip into the water as quietly as you can and float towards the stern of the spirifer's boat, barely moving. You hear him joking with the devil. (Shadowy challenge; modest at 38)
The fury of the streets.
The moans of the street children cover the sounds of your approach. You pull a scarf over your face and leap down off a rooftop on to the villains. Your ambush catches them off guard, and soon they are fleeing and cursing you. A few of the urchins are in a condition to speak. (Shadowy challenge; modest at 23)
Dusting the study
Your disguise as the butler isn't perfect, but your maid friend assures you that servants are hardly ever noticed in the grand houses. Well hidden, my eye!
You imagine that the young master's honey-dreams must be very dull. Anyone who would hide their honey-pot behind the chutneys in the pantry cannot have a poet's imagination. Still, the jar is yours and there is a decent amount left after the maidservant takes her share.
