The 50p item of each category converts into another category, at an exchange rate of 50:51. (One category, Mysteries, has two 50p items, Tale of Terror!! and A Journal of Infamy - so it appears twice in the below.) For example you can create Whisper-Satin Scrap (3rd item - Rag Trade category) with Strangling Willow Absinthe (3rd item - Wines category).

Conversion rates:

• you can convert 1 Echo's worth of the Base Item into 1 Echo's worth of the 10p item (usually 100:10)
• you can convert 10 Echoes' worth of the Base Item into 10.5 Echoes' worth of the 10p item (usually 1000:105), but no chance to get a lucky bonus
• you can convert 5 Echoes' worth of the 10p item into 5 Echoes' worth of the 50p item (50:10)
• you can convert 50 Echoes' worth of the 10p item into 52.5 Echoes' worth of the 50p item (usually 500:105), but no chance to get a lucky bonus.
• you can convert 25 Echoes' worth of the 50p item into 5 Echoes' worth of the 250p item (50:10) (Converting to Collated Research is more expensive if you are Unwelcome at the University.)
• you can convert 62.5 Echoes' worth of the 250p item into 62.5 Echoes' worth of the capstone item (25:5)

Success and Rare Success:
Successes and Rare Successes will give you additional items on top of what you normally get, and follow rules as follows
Base item: Success gives ~30 pence, Rare Success gives one of the 250 pence items
~10 p item: Success gives ~40 pence, Rare Success gives one of the capstone items.
~50 p item: Success gives ~100 pence, Rare Success gives two capstone items
~250 p item: Success gives ~200 pence, Rare Success gives Connection Item

Specific information on what items are given by success and rare success for each conversion shall be added once we have more info.
