Well, I mentioned the theme since that would be one area to twiddle the CSS a bit. The width of the drop-downs of the top-menu bar could be expanded, for instance. But a) there are getting to be too many places (there are too many stories already) and b) I'm not sure there is an active admin on this site who could do any of the necessary work.
A two-level, or more, level would be useful, but near as I can tell from what I'm reading, that just isn't possible (or would be a major customization.)
So, we make do with what we can do. This is just a wiki, after all.
Reorganize the Places Menu
The Places menu is unwieldy. A hierarchical organziation is needed to keep the menu from scrolling off the screen and making it easier to use.

Favor a Geographical Organization
Following the general flow of the game is more sensible, especially now that vast new areas are available for exploration. It is better for experienced players that have an idea of what they are looking for.
(A low-risk challenge for your Taxonomy quality.)
Favor a Functional Organization
The wiki is a reference, not a substitute for the game itself, which suggests that categorization by Quality or Purpose is more sensible and "narrative coherence" is avoided.
(A modest challenge for your Taxonomy quality.)
