- First City Coin One side bears what might be a cedar tree. You've never met anyone who can read the script on the other side. - Sells for 25 pennies - Obtained during the Ambition: Heart's Desire; this is the main source, there may be others…
- A Boxed Cat? A struggling box! What could be in here? A tabby cat? A black cat? A really angry dwarf? - Sells for 10 pennies - Obtained with the card "Pass the Cat: a wriggling delivery", if you choose to Accept the delivery.
- Sapphire They import these things from the Carnelian Coast. But they're sapphires. Clear? Excellent. - Sells for 12 pennies
- Venom-ruby A single drop of the Cantigaster's blood. Scintillating. Lethal. Don't put it in your mouth. - Sells for 10 pennies
- Dark-dewed Cherries Fresh fruit! Down here? On which strange tree did these little beauties grow? - Sells for 70 pennies

- Black Ribbon A scrap of black ribbon to be worn on the arm. This denotes that you have permanently killed a member of the Black Ribbon duelling society. - Yup, you gotta kill someone for one of these babies. Available at Wolfstack Docks.
- Black Wings Absinthe Another of Mr Wines' creations. Are the contents of the bottle actually moving independently? It's hard to be sure. - Its effects are mysterious and powerful and may be shared through social actions - Distributed as a gift on 1/15/2010 via Twitter, get a rare success throwing dice at the carnival, by seducing the Provost in the University, or through opportunity cards
- Darkdrop Coffee Musky! Explosive! Almost certainly not actually brewed from bat guano! That's just Mr Wines' little joke. - Refreshes 10 actions(even if you have a 2nd candle), for the cost of one action and a wound. - Received as a reward for recruiting a player through a social action. Given to all players on Feb 11, 2011 as a gift for enduring some intermittent outages
- Implacable Detective's Business Card Your paths are bound to cross again soon. Almost any contact with the Implacable Detective will give you one.
- Starveling Cat The wretched thing follows you about and tells wicked lies! And it eats all the food in the larder. Persuasive -3 - It cannot be equipped, and simply having it in your inventory does not affect Persuasive. It is a usable item with effects that are powerful and mysterious. It can be passed on to others… maybe it will be passed on to you?
- A Surprise Package What has your friend sent you? Open it to find out.
