His Amused Lordship is an occasional visitor to the palace. He is known to appreciate humour bordering on the bawdy. He is suspected of frequenting lower class establishments of entertainment in disguise. (A matter of luck: it could go either way.)

Something rushes past you in the near-total darkness. Good God. What was that thing? A mis-shapen form a good yard taller than you. Was it… dancing? What is this place?

The cellars are a maze. You are soon lost. You can hear the music more clearly, though. If it is music. Huge drums play irregular rhythms. Is that a harp? Something rushes past you in the darkness. A hunchbacked, mis-shapen figure dressed in clothes that would have been the forefront of expensive fashion and covered in medals and gold braid. The figure makes a long howl that might be an attempt at speech, and lopes off into the darkness.
